Hello

If you are on this page, we assume that you have some interest in exploring Tai Chi - Qi Gong with is, and in becoming a member.

If so, we have some important information for you:

q       We are happy to facilitate new members, and we provide them with easy access, as this is a voluntary community-based activity.  You will be given a short trial period in which to pay just your class fees, as they arise.   After a short while it is expected that you will join YMAA Ireland.

q       You cannot attend class without completing a membership application form, and if you have a relevant medical condition, you must in your own interests make proper and adequate disclosure about same.   If relevant, we may have to ask you for further information from your medical advisors concerning the advisability of your proceeding with Tai Chi - Qi Gong.   This would be very rare, and it will be discussed in confidence with you, and you can appreciate its importance from your personal standpoint.  Tai Chi - Qi Gong is to benefit your health and well-being, and there is little point in compromising that due to inadequate consultation or disclosure.  We therefore ask for your cooperation in this.

q       Classes are busy, and you must respect other members. You start to this by completing your membership application form outside of class, and appearing at the class with your class fees, a fully completed form, and your medical information where this is relevant.

q       Your YMAA membership is essential after a while. This is the international organization which trains teachers and provides resources, and occasionally visiting teachers to Dublin and Clonmel, to facilitate your training.  If you want to learn more about advanced training, & training of future Tai Chi - Qong teachers, please go to    http://ymaa-retreatcenter.org .   So you will understand that if these fees are not kept up then it compromises the training you ultimately receive.  It is best therefore if you make arrangements to pay your YMAA membership as soon as possible.  YMAA members then get some discount at certain annual events, such as a Clonmel one-day workshops, or annual training camps.

q       Membership is dependent upon places being available in the class.  We only have a couple of class schedules a week, and we are not going to overcrowd these obviously in the interests of current members. At the moment we are able to receive all applicants, and we hope this will be the situation for the immediate future.

q       Local class fees:         €10 per class  :    ( normally these are paid about 4/5 classes in advance, but you can speak to the class treasurer about this *)

q       YMAA annual fees :   €60 per annum :  ( these are remitted to YMAA Ireland on your behalf, and you are then identified as a YMAA member in our members section from there forward).

Class treasurers:

Monday evening class:              Mr Terry Gibney

Saturday morning class:            Ms Catherine McGuinness

Please sign and complete the attached application form, and bring it to the class treasurer a few minutes before the start of any class.
