This is our Old News up to 6th Dec 09

Why that date.  Well that was effectively the end of our Calendar year 2009 bar two classes.  We did everything we said on the tin!  We had that starter workshop mentioned below, and we had our second one day workshop with Damian as mentioned!  which was reasonably well attended.  Thank you Damian!

We have to update our Lineage page, which crashed.  Will be back to that. Sorry.

Meantime you just go to "News Page" to get your latest fix!

Hi

  • The Members have agreed to host a Tai Chi - Qi Gong Taster Night on Monday 9th November at 8pm at the School. This is for beginners, or those seeking to renew their practice.  Cost €10,  Duration 90 Minutes but may be longer. (Bring Water & Loose warm clothes). This is a distillation of the One Day beginners workshop that Fred has run annually for a number of years now.  But this time we are going to do a shorter one and current members may attend and give a short few minutes on their current practice and understanding of Yang style Taiji and it's value to them.  This will inlcude some DVD presentations of Master Yang practicing the Form.  Eileen is organizing this and can be contacted at : 086 - 855 0161 or eileenacheson@eircom.net.  Thank you Eileeen for your efforts.
  • Director Damian Fox, will do a one day training review & workshop on eithir Saturday 28th November or Saturday 5th December.  Depending on numbers and sufficient funds! get working guys!  This is for the regular class to review your development and set your training up for 2010 and give you something to works towards for the annual workshop in late Spring in Dublin.  Visitors are very welcome but must respect the fact that Damian is here first and foremost to review practice for regular members.
  • The Website sub-committee is Terry Gibney, Brian McDonald, Marian Kelly and Fred Binchy.  Lets get going guys - get your passwords and start enriching the site.  The members section should now start to develop and new materiels should be added to the open section for visitors.
  • Our wonderful wood sculptor is at work and will have a number of balls ready within a couple of weeks.  Those with orders need to confirm to Fred in class and get ready to hand over €75-80 for the sculptor for their ball.  Very shortly after that we will do a short workshop on ball training.
